What impact will this have on your travel plans?

Pedestrian traffic

All access and almost all pedestrian routes will be maintained, including on both sides of the circuit, with the exception of the Quai Albert Ier, which will be closed to pedestrians from 11pm on 19 July to midnight on 21 July.

Crossing will also be possible at a number of points along the route managed by volunteers.

Vehicle traffic and parking

On 21 July, from 10am to 8pm, motorists will not be able to use the following roads:

  • Boulevard Albert Ier*
  • Quai des États-Unis, from the restricted-access quay area to its intersection with Route de la Piscine​​​​​*
  • Route de la Piscine*
  • Darse Sud
  • Quai Antoine Ier
  • Allée des Boulingrins, in the upward direction
  • Place du Casino
  • Avenue des Citronniers, as far as the entrance to the Métropole car park
  • Boulevard Princesse Charlotte, between the roundabout on Boulevard des Moulins and no. 29 (in this direction)
  • Allée Emmanuel Gonzales
  • Avenue Princesse Grace
  • Rue des Iris
  • Ruelle Saint-Jean
  • Avenue J.F. Kennedy
  • Boulevard Louis II
  • Avenue de la Madone, between its intersection with Avenue des Spélugues and Avenue de Grande-Bretagne
  • Avenue Saint-Michel, from the intersection with Avenue Princesse Charlotte, towards Boulevard des Moulins
  • Avenue de Monte-Carlo
  • Boulevard des Moulins, between the roundabout in front of no. 4 and the start of Avenue de la Costa
  • Bretelle du Portier, between the Larvotto tunnel and the Portier roundabout
  • Rue du Portier
  • Rue des Princes
  • Avenue des Spélugues
  • Bretelle dite du Sardanapale

*Please note that from 6pm on 20 July to 10am on 21 July:

  • the upstream lane of boulevard Albert Ier will be reserved for road users
  • a one-way traffic lane will be introduced on route de la Piscine, from its intersection with quai Antoine Ier to quai des États-Unis, and on quai des États-Unis, between its intersections with route de la Piscine and avenue J.F. Kennedy.la voie amont du boulevard Albert Ier

Also on 21 July from 10am to 8pm, the one-way traffic system will be reversed:

  • Allée Ouest des Boulingrins (downhill), from Place du Casino to boulevard des Moulins
  • Rue Princesse Florestine, between rue Suffren Reymond and rue Grimaldi
  • Avenue Saint-Michel, between boulevard des Moulins and rue des Iris 
  • Rue Suffren Reymond, between rue Louis Notari and rue Grimaldi

Also on 21 July, but from 6.30am to 8pm:

  • Campervan traffic will be banned throughout the Principality of Monaco
  • Vehicle traffic will be prohibited in the Rocher Antoine Ier and Rocher Albert Ier tunnels, as well as on boulevard Louis II and avenue J.F. Kennedy from the Portier crossroads (in this direction).

From 11pm on 19 July to 6am on 23 July, motorists will not be allowed to park on the following roads:

  • Esplanade des Pêcheurs
  • Quai des États-Unis, from the restricted-access quay area to its intersection with Route de la Piscine
  • Route de la Piscine
  • Darse Sud
  • Boulevard Albert Ier
  • Quai Antoine Ier, between the Rocher-Noghès tunnel and the Quai Antoine Ier car park, and in front of the Antoine Ier tunnel
  • Rue Princesse Charlotte, between the roundabout on Boulevard des Moulins and the intersection with Avenue Saint-Michel
  • Avenue des Citronniers
  • Rue Princesse Florestine
  • Avenue Princesse Grace
  • Rue Grimaldi, between Boulevard Albert Ier and the intersection with Rue Princesse Florestine
  • Rue des Iris
  • Ruelle Saint-Jean
  • Avenue J.F. Kennedy
  • Boulevard Louis II
  • Avenue de Monte-Carlo
  • Rue Louis Notari
  • Rue du Portier

And from 11pm on 20 July to midnight on 21 July, parking will also be banned in rue Princesse Antoinette.

The following public car parks will be closed all day on 21 July:

  • Pêcheurs
  • Digue
  • Quai Antoine I
  • Louis Chiron

Please note the services located in these car parks will not be available.

"Monaco ON" charging stations

From Friday 19 to Tuesday 23 July, the charging stations for electric vehicles located on the following roads will be neutralised:

  • Rue Grimaldi
  • Rue Louis Notari
  • Rue Florestine
  • Quai des États-Unis
  • Avenue de la Quarantaine
  • Avenue Princesse Grace

Cam urban bus traffic

On 21 July, Monegasque Bus Company services will be free of charge.

However, the following routes will not be operating:

  • Line 1 / Monaco Ville <> Saint-Roman
  • Line 5 / Hôpital <> Place des Moulins
  • Line 6 / Fontvieille <> Larvotto
  • Express line X2 / Jardin Exotique - Salines car park <> Monte-Carlo
  • Express line X3 / Larvotto <> Fontvieille
  • Express line X4 / Saint-Roman <> Fontvieille

Other lines will operate on weekdays, with the following special features and diversions:

Disruptions are to be expected on the night of Saturday, 20 to Sunday, 21 July due to access restrictions on Boulevard Albert Ier.

Finally, a special "Tour de France 2024" line (line 4 modified), linking the east and west of the Principality (Place des Moulins in Fontvieille via Boulevard du Larvotto), will be introduced for the event. Click here to find out more

From the evening of Friday 19 July to the morning of Monday 22 July, the following MonaBike stations (the Principality's self-service electric bicycles) will be closed:

Zou! intercity bus traffic

On 21 July, the Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur bus network will also be affected from the start of the service to around 7pm:

Route 600

  • Line 600 will run on a reduced service between Menton and Beaulieu-sur-Mer only
  • In the direction Menton > Beaulieu-sur-Mer, the stops ‘Saint Roman MC’, ‘Place des Moulins’, ‘Monte-Carlo (Casino)’ and ‘Sainte-Dévote’ will not be served
  • To Menton, departures will be made from the ‘Baie des Fourmis’ stop in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, while the ‘Place d'Armes’, ‘Princesse Antoinette’, ‘Office du Tourisme’, ‘Place des Moulins’ and ‘Saint-Roman MC’ stops in Monaco will not be served and a replacement stop will be set up at the Saint-Roman interchange
  • As previously mentioned, a special ‘Tour de France 2024’ urban line will link the east and west of the Principality (‘Place des Moulins’ <> ‘Boulevard du Larvotto’ <> ‘Place d'Armes’ <> ‘Fontvieille’), which will create a connection

Line 80

  • To Nice airport, all departures will be made from the Monaco stop ‘Place des Moulins’ and the stops ‘Sporting Bay Hôtel’, ‘Larvotto (Hôtel Méridien)’, ‘Grimaldi Forum’, ‘Les Spélugues’, ‘Monte-Carlo (Casino)’, ‘Sainte-Dévote Gare’, ‘Place d'Armes’ and ‘Bautugan’ will not be served
  • In the direction Menton > Monaco, the stops ‘Bautugan’, ‘Villa Paloma’, ‘Belgique’, ‘Place d'Armes’, ‘Princesse Antionette’, ‘Office de Tourisme’, ‘Les Spélugues’, ‘Grimaldi Forum’ and ‘Sporting Bay Hôtel’ will not be served

Access to Port Hercule

On 21 July, the port will remain open to shipping.

However, as the route de la Piscine and avenue J.F. Kennedy are closed to traffic, boats can only be accessed on foot via the dedicated passageways (see map above).
